After just one season, Bravo TV has officially canceled the Real Housewives of DC series.
“We had an amazing season and we told stories that were unique to any other in the franchise. I wish all our D.C. wives the best and hope to work with them again in another capacity,” said Andy Cohen, Bravo’s executive vice president of original programming and development.
This news doesn’t come as much of a surprise to Housewives fans, who criticized the cast – Cat Ommanney, Lynda Erkiletian, Mary Amons, Stacie Turner, and Michaele Salahi – for being boring.
“It’s serious, it’s politics,” Cohen acknowledged in the past. “The level of discourse on this show is different. For people who expect to see table flipping or wig pulling, that was never going to happen on this show.”
The Real Housewives franchise has been a huge hit for the Bravo network and this will be the first of the series to not make it to a second season.
