Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon renewed their vows on Sunday, May 1, in the hospital after Carey gave birth to the couple’s twins on Saturday.
Cannon said he and 42-year-old Carey renew their vows every year and correctly predicted they would be doing so in the hospital this year.
“I’m not trying to be a psychic, but we renew our vows every year so … It’s probably going to be in the hospital this year,” 30-year-old Cannon said when he guest-hosted The Talk on Thursday. “I can feel it. We got the minister coming in, so this gown will not be a wedding gown, but a hospital gown.”
Rev. Al Sharpton did the honors of renewing their vows in the hospital Sunday.
“I am just leaving Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon. She had twins yesterday on their 3rd anniversary. I had prayer with them and the babies,” Sharpton Tweeted Sunday. “I also conducted the renewal of their vows and the blessing of the newborn twins. Mariah looks GREAT, and the babies are beautiful.”
“Yep, we just had a wedding in the hospital,” Cannon wrote on Twitter Sunday. “Thank you to @THEREVAL who came all the way to the hospital to renew me and my wife’s vows and pray with our children.”
