Reports are saying that former That ’70s Show star Ashton Kutcher will be replacing Charlie Sheen on the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men.
After being fired from Two and a Half Men in March, Charlie Sheen filed a $100 million lawsuit against Chuck Lorre and Warner Bros. Since then, Sheen has expressed his desire to rejoin the show, but Lorre is reportedly not interested in entertaining the idea.
Instead, it was said that Lorre wanted to restructure the show with a greater focus on Jon Cryer’s character and the introduction of a new character. This new character would have similar qualities to Sheen’s character and would possibly be Cryer’s new roommate.
Sources say that final touches are being put on deal for Kutcher, 33, to replace Sheen.
Kutcher’s Tweet on Thursday may have been a clue about the deal, asking his Twitter followers, “What’s the square root of 6.25?”
The answer is 2½.
CBS has declined to comment on these rumors, with a rep saying, “There’s nothing new to report.”
