NBC’s The Voice season one concluded Wednesday night, revealing the first ever winner of the show.
America voted on the top four contestants, Javier Colon, Dia Frampton, Vicci Martinez and Beverly McClellan. The contestant who received the most of America’s votes was Javier Colon, who represented team Adam Levine.
“Wow. Thank you. I don’t even know where to begin other than to say that the three women behind here are absolutely awesome,” Colon said when he won. “I want to thank everybody at home who believed in me and voted for me and [I want to thank] my family.”
The Voice host Carson Daly said the votes were close, naming Dia Frampton, team Blake Shelton, the runner-up by just just a 2% loss.
Colon won a recording contract and $100,000.
