Hills star Kristin Cavallari was shocked and sad after being eliminated from Dancing With the Stars last night.
Cavallari, 24, and her partner Mark Ballas scored high marks and received positive feedback from the judges in the first three weeks of the show. Cavallari was given 24 out of 30 points from the judges Monday night for her samba, putting her in second place. Cavallari did not receive enough votes from the viewers though, resulting in her elimination in the third week.
“I’m really sad,” Cavallari said after the elimination. “But I’d rather go out on top and have people be shocked than have people be like, ‘Thank god she’s leaving, it’s about time.’ It was the best experience I’ve ever had. I could not be happier that I did the show.”
Cavallari feels the votes have little do with actual dancing skills, considering she performed well each week.
“That’s the thing with Dancing with the Stars, you never know,” she said, laughing. “It’s clearly not a dance competition!”
Cavallari was asked about her ex-fiance Jay Cutler, who was in the audience cheering her on Monday night, but she wouldn’t divulge any details. “I’m just not talking about it,” she said.
