Khloé Kardashian announced Monday that she’s quitting PETA after the organization supported a woman who pelted Kim Kardashian with a flour bomb.
A woman threw a plastic bag of baking flour at Kim Kardashian as she walked the red carpet Thursday. Kim was at the West Hollywood’s London Hotel to launch her new fragrance, True Reflection, when the incident occurred.
The woman who attacked Kim Kardashian is reportedly tied to the anti-fur group PETA. PETA said they will support the alleged attacker if Kim pressed charges.
Khloé, who has posed naked for a PETA campaign, wrote on her website today: “I just received word that the woman responsible has very close ties to PETA, despite PETA publicly stating otherwise. Not only has PETA lied to the public, but they have proved that they support this kind of behavior.”
She adds: “I’ve been a vocal supporter of PETA for a long time but I have also been very vocal about anti-bullying, so this was a huge disappointment for me. As you all know, I don’t condone violence and bullying and what happened last Thursday was just that.”
Kim has still not said whether she plans to press charges against the alleged attacker.
