New York Kincks’ point guard Jason Kidd has been charged with driving under the influence after crashing his Cadillac in the Hamptons early Sunday.
Kidd, 39, drove his Escalade into a telephone pole in Water Mill, N.Y., around 2 a.m. The future Hall of Famer was treated for minor injuries. There were no passengers in his car at the time of the crash.
The NBA star reportedly attended Ne-Yo and George Lucas’s “Fostering a Legacy” benefit in East Hampton Saturday evening, before the crash.
Kidd, who became a free agent this year, left the Dallas Mavericks and signed a 3-year, $9.5 million contract with the New York Knicks on Thursday.
