Katie Holmes Returning to Broadway
Actress Katie Holmes is returning to Broadway this fall in the dark comedy Dead Accounts.
The recently divorced mother of one will star in Theresa Rebeck’s new Broadway play, Dead Accounts, as Lorna, a woman looking for answers about her brother’s surprising return home. The five-character comedy will be directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jack O’Brien and will open at the Music Box Theatre in New York City.
Holmes’ last appearance on the Broadway stage was in All My Sons in 2008.
News that Holmes filed for divorce from Tom Cruise broke at the end of June. The couple had a very speedy settlement, officially divorcing less than two weeks later. Holmes and Cruise have joint custody of their 6-year-old daughter, Suri.
