Avril Lavigne’s 14-Carat Engagement Ring Worth $350,000

Avril Lavigne got engaged to Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger on August 8 and her 14-carat engagement ring is reportedly worth $350,000.

“We helped Chad custom create Avril’s dream ring: a platinum-set pear-shape diamond with half moons totaling 14 carats from XIVKARATS in Beverly Hills,” designer Caryn Alpert told People exclusively. “What a perfect pair/pear!”

Jewelry expert Michael O’Connor told Us Weekly that he estimates the ring to be worth $350,000.

Lavigne, 27, and Kroeger, 37, first met in February to co-write a song for Lavigne’s upcoming fifth studio album.

This will be Kroeger’s first marriage. Lavigne was married to Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley and got divorced in 2009.
