‘The Voice’ Competing Directly With ‘X Factor’
NBC rearranged their programming schedule to air The Voice at the same time as Fox is airing X Factor next week.

The Voice, which premieres Monday, September 10, is adding a third episode to next week’s line-up. This additional episode will air Wednesday night, at the exact same time X Factor is scheduled to premiere.
NBC’s America’s Got Talent was originally scheduled during that time slot, but they decided to make a last minute switch.
In addition to Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears being perceived longtime rivals, X Factor creator Simon Cowell recently directed a couple X Factor rejects to audition for The Voice, kicking up more competitive steam between the two shows.
Cowell is reportedly very angry about the last minute switch, saying “This is a cynical, cold-hearted, unprofessional way of doing business.”
Cowell told TMZ, he thought he had a “gentleman’s agreement” with NBC that The Voice would run Mondays and Tuesdays, and X Factor would run Wednesdays and Thursdays on FOX so fans could watch both.
