Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban Are New American Idol Judges

The new American Idol judging team has been confirmed – Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban will join Mariah Carey and Randy Jackson at the judges table for season 12 of American Idol.

American Idol host Ryan Seacrest Tweeted the news Sunday morning. “It’s official, your new #IdolJudges are @MariahCarey, @NickiMinaj, @KeithUrban & @Yo_RandyJackson!” Seacrest attached a photo that included Carey, Jackson, Minaj and Urban.

Carey joined Idol in July after Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler quit the show.

“I am so excited to be joining Idol,” Carey said when the news was announced that she would be an AI judge.

American Idol season 12 auditions begin Sunday in New York City.
