Kelly Clarkson Is Engaged

The first-ever American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson, got engaged over the weekend to talent manager, Brandon Blackstock.

“I’M ENGAGED!!!!!” Clarkson, 30, announced Saturday on Twitter. “I wanted y’all to know!! Happiest night of my life last night! I am so lucky and am with the greatest man ever.”

Clarkson and Blackstock began dating about a year ago. Blackstock is the son of Clarkson’s manager, Narvel Blackstock, who is married to Reba McEntire.

There is no word yet on wedding plans or a wedding date. But back in November, Clarkson told Ellen DeGeneres, “We will totally, probably elope.”
