The NFL announced Sunday that Grammy Award winning pop singer Bruno Mars will perform at the Pepsi Super Bowl XLVIII halftime show at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., on February 2, 2014.
After the announcement was made Bruno Mars Tweeted, “WE’RE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!!!!!!! #PepsiSBHalftime”
Mars made an appearance on “Fox NFL Sunday” for the announcement just before the kickoff of the first week of Sunday afternoon games in the 2013-2014 regular season.
Fox Sports told fans to stay tuned throughout the season “to see what surprises Bruno Mars has in store for this historic halftime show.”
Recent Super Bowl halftime performers includes Beyonce, Madonna, The Black Eyed Peas, Usher and Slash.
