Billboard has released a Social 50 Music Chart that ranks the most active artists on the world’s leading social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook on a weekly basis.
The rankings are determined by a formula that combines the artists’ weekly additions of friends/fans/followers, along with artist page views and songs played, as measured by Next Big Sound.
Topping Billboard’s Social 50 Music Chart in its first week is Rihanna followed by Justin Bieber.

Recorded three years ago with hip hop artist Akon, Michael Jackson’s single “Hold My Hand” hit airwaves and is available to download. It was the legendary pop singer’s wish, reportedly documented in a note before his death, that “Hold My Hand” be the official single off of his latest album.
Akon, who was also involved in the songwriting and producing process, said in a statement released by Sony, “The world was not ready to hear ‘Hold My Hand’ when it leaked a couple years ago. We were devastated about it.”
Diddy – Dirty Money have premiered their latest music video, Loving You No More, featuring Young Money rapper, Drake.
Diddy gets his heart broken in the Gil Green (Akon, Flo Rida, Jay Sean) directed clip which helps tell the story behind Loving You No More. The track will appear on Diddy – Dirty Money’s debut offering, Last Train To Paris, which will be available everywhere December 14, 2010. +Continue Reading
