Amy Winehouse Toxicology Results Showed No Illegal Drugs

Amy Winehouse’s family has shared the results of the late singer’s toxicology report, saying there were no illegal drugs in her system, but there was alcohol in her bloodstream when she died.

Amy Winehouse Died from Alcohol Withdrawal?

The family of Grammy award winning singer Amy Winehouse says she died from alcohol withdrawal.

Winehouse died Saturday, July 23, 2011 in her London home at the young age of 27. Autopsy results gave no indication of cause of death and the results of the toxicology reports will take months.

A family friend says that Winehouse’s doctor told her to gradually cut back her heavy drinking, but Winehouse ignored those orders and quite cold turkey last month. +Continue Reading

Grammy award winning singer Singer Amy Winehouse was found dead in her London apartment on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the age of 27.

“We are deeply saddened at the sudden loss of such a gifted musician, artist and performer,” a statement from Winehouse’s U.S. record label reads. “Our prayers go out to Amy’s family, friends and fans at this difficult time.”

“Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square NW1 shortly before 16.05hrs today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased,” a statement by London’s Metropolitan Police said. “On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene. Inquiries continue into the circumstances of the death. At this early stage it is being treated as unexplained.” +Continue Reading
