After losing his jaw and voice to cancer, Roger Ebert is happy to show off his new face.
“I studiously avoided looking at myself in a mirror,” Ebert, 68, shared on his blog on Wednesday. He battled with jaw cancer that resulted in him losing the lower part of his face.
Ebert ‘s jaw has been reconstructed after a “two-year process that has now resulted with my coming into possession of a silicone prosthesis. This device [fits] over my lower face and neck and colored to match my skin,” Ebert shared.
